What is a Vented Dome?
The Vented Dome is a semi-open dome that features built-in ventilation holes to allow natural airflow through the ear canal. It offers a balance between comfort and sound amplification, making it ideal for users who want clearer hearing without the feeling of a blocked ear.

Why choose Vented Domes?
- Improved Comfort with Ventilation: Built-in vents help your ears “breathe,” preventing pressure build-up and the sensation of occlusion (plugged ears).
- Natural Sound Perception: Allows some ambient sounds and your own voice to pass through more naturally.
- Balanced Amplification: Offers more gain than open domes but doesn’t feel as closed-off as power domes.
- Reduces Moisture & Heat: Venting improves air circulation, which can reduce moisture and irritation during long-term wear.
- Discreet and Lightweight: Comfortable to wear all day without drawing attention.

Choosing the Right Dome: What to Know
Who is it best for?
- Users with mild to moderate hearing loss
- Individuals who want clear sound without the closed-in feeling of fully sealed domes
- Those who are sensitive to pressure or occlusion
- Ideal for first-time hearing aid users seeking comfort and a natural feel

Which Dome Is Right for You?
Which Size Should You Choose?
- Small: Recommended for narrow or sensitive ear canals where a gentle fit is needed.
- Medium: Fits most users comfortably. A great starting point for those new to hearing aid domes.
- Large: Offers a firmer fit for larger ear canals or users who prefer a more secure placement, especially during active movement.

Domes
All domes are designed as the first line of defense against wax. At the tip of each dome is a small shield that protects the sound inlet (indicated by the green arrow). Domes should be changed at least every three months or when they become stiff or brittle. The client should wipe the dome daily with a dry tissue.
