Choosing the Right Dome: What to Know
Why Choose Cap Domes?
- Users with very narrow or sensitive ear canals
- Those who prefer a basic, closed-style dome without vents
- Hearing aid users who want a tighter seal without needing a power dome
- Individuals looking for minimal bulk and maximum comfort in a low-profile dome
What is Cap Dome?
The Cap Dome is a small, rounded dome with minimal opening and no vents, designed for users who require a secure fit with very low risk of sound leakage. Its compact design makes it ideal for people with very narrow ear canals or those who need a basic dome that stays comfortably in place.
Who Is It Best For?
- Secure, Snug Fit: Designed to sit firmly in the ear canal for consistent performance without shifting or falling out.
- Minimal Sound Leakage: Closed design helps retain amplification and reduces the chance of feedback.
- Comfortable for Narrow Ear Canals: Rounded shape fits well in smaller ears without causing discomfort.
- Simple and Effective: Ideal for users who want a basic, no-vent solution that provides reliable sealing.
- Discreet Appearance: The compact size and neutral color make it less noticeable during wear.

Domes
All domes are designed as the first line of defense against wax. At the tip of each dome is a small shield that protects the sound inlet (indicated by the green arrow). Domes should be changed at least every three months or when they become stiff or brittle. The client should wipe the dome daily with a dry tissue.
